Scope of Medical Services & Emergency Disclaimer

3.1 Non-Emergency Service Only

Eirdoc UK provides non-emergency, routine primary healthcare consultations, digital triage, repeat prescription requests, and private medical certificates.

This service is not intended for medical emergencies

If you are experiencing symptoms such as:

  • Severe chest pain or pressure
  • Sudden weakness, numbness, or difficulty speaking
  • Severe shortness of breath
  • Heavy, uncontrolled bleeding
  • Suspected overdose, poisoning, or severe allergic reaction (anaphylaxis)
  • Immediate risk of self-harm

You must call 999 or go to your nearest NHS Accident & Emergency (A&E) department immediately, or call NHS 111 for urgent guidance.

3.2 Clinical Suitability

Our online consultations and questionnaire assessments are suitable only for conditions that can be safely evaluated remotely without an in-person physical examination. Our clinicians reserve the absolute right to decline treatment or refer you to an in-person NHS or private GP if remote evaluation is deemed clinically unsafe.

4

Patient Eligibility & Account Responsibilities

To use our UK service, you confirm and warrant that:

Age

You are at least 18 years of age (or at least 16 years old where legally permitted for specific autonomous consultations), or you are a parent/legal guardian completing an assessment on behalf of a minor.

UK Location

You are physically located in the United Kingdom (England, Scotland, Wales, or Northern Ireland) at the time of the consultation.

Accuracy of Information

All information provided in your medical history, questionnaires, symptom descriptions, and identification documents is accurate, truthful, complete, and up to date. Concealing medications, allergies, or underlying medical conditions is a breach of these Terms and poses serious health risks.

Identity & Security

You will not impersonate any other individual or create multiple fraudulent accounts. You are responsible for safeguarding your login credentials.

5

Consultations, Prescriptions, and Pharmacy Routing

5.1 Clinical Autonomy

Payment for a consultation or medical assessment covers the doctor's clinical review and time. It does not guarantee that a prescription, referral, or medical certificate will be issued. The prescribing clinician acts with full professional independence and clinical discretion under GMC guidelines.

5.2 Controlled Drugs & Restrictions

Eirdoc UK does not prescribe controlled drugs (such as Schedule 1–3 controlled substances, strong opioid painkillers, high-risk sedatives, sleeping pills, or medications requiring specialised in-person monitoring).

5.3 Pharmacy Fulfillment & Dispensing

  • Approved electronic prescriptions are securely routed to your nominated UK community pharmacy or fulfillment partner.
  • Eirdoc is responsible for generating and transmitting the valid digital prescription. The dispensing pharmacy is independently responsible for dispensing, checking stock, and supplying the medication.
  • Any medication costs charged directly by the dispensing pharmacy are separate from Eirdoc's consultation review fees.

6

Medical Certificates, Sick Notes, and Doctor Letters

  • Medical certificates (such as fit-to-work notes, sick notes, or travel cancellation letters) are issued purely based on clinical assessment and doctor discretion.
  • Certificates reflect the professional opinion of the reviewing GMC-registered doctor at the time of assessment.
  • Fraudulent requests or falsification of symptoms to obtain unauthorized medical certificates may lead to immediate account termination and reporting where legally mandated.

7

Fees, Payments, and Refund Policy

7.1 Pricing

All service fees are clearly displayed in British Pounds Sterling (GBP, £) prior to payment. Prices include all applicable statutory taxes unless stated otherwise.

7.2

Clinical Review & Non-Refundable Services

Because clinical assessments involve immediate professional time and medical review by a doctor, refund eligibility depends on when your cancellation request reaches us relative to the clinical review:

Completed / In-Review Consultations

Once a GMC-registered clinician has begun reviewing your questionnaire or case history, the service fee is non-refundable, even if the doctor determines it is clinically inappropriate to issue a prescription or certificate.

Technical Errors / Duplicate Charges

If you are accidentally charged multiple times due to a platform or payment gateway glitch, duplicate charges will be refunded in full upon verification.

Cancellations Prior to Review

If you request a cancellation before any clinician has opened or commenced assessment of your case, a refund may be issued subject to standard administrative processing fees.

8

Data Privacy & UK GDPR Compliance

Your personal data, health history, and consultation records are processed in strict compliance with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018.

For complete details on how your sensitive health information is collected, stored, shared with dispensing pharmacies, and retained under UK clinical record laws, please consult our Privacy & Cookies Policy.

9

You may not reproduce, copy, distribute, or create derivative works without prior written consent.

10

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by UK law:

  • Eirdoc Limited shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising out of your use or inability to use the platform.
  • We are not liable for adverse outcomes or delays resulting from inaccurate, misleading, or incomplete health information provided by the patient.
  • We are not liable for pharmacy stock shortages, dispensing errors by third-party pharmacies, or courier delivery delays outside our reasonable control.
  • Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud, or any liability that cannot be excluded under English law.

11

Governing Law & Jurisdiction

These Terms of Service, their subject matter, and their formation are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales.

You and Eirdoc Limited agree that the courts of England and Wales shall have exclusive jurisdiction to settle any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with these Terms, except that if you are a resident of Scotland or Northern Ireland, you may also bring proceedings in your local jurisdiction.

12

Amendments to Terms

We reserve the right to revise and update these Terms at any time to reflect operational, clinical, or legislative changes. When updates occur, the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page will be revised. Continued use of the platform following the posting of revised Terms constitutes your acceptance of the changes.
